– And Were Friday’s Blackouts In 3 Major US Cities Just A ‘Coincidence’ Or Something Much More Sinister?
Just days ago, Steve Quayle linked to a story on his website from The Sun titled “Russia Claims It Can Wipe Out Entire US Navy With A Single ‘Electronic Bomb’ In Bizarre Propaganda Report”. The Russian news report claiming an electronic signal jamming weapon could render planes, ships and missiles useless also reported: the technology can disable all kind of electronic equipment.
While the mainstream media was quick to label the claim a ‘crazy conspiracy theory’, those who’ve been getting their news from independent sources know all about the USS Donald Cook and its experience with such an ‘electronic jamming weapon’ when back in 2014, soon after the US Destroyer entered the Black Sea, its advanced weapons technology was rendered useless. Allegedly spooking the ‘USS Donald Duck‘ crew beyond belief claims were made then, the Russian EMP weapon in question can be found at the website of Deagel.com where it describes it as: The Russian Air Force Khibiny is an advanced aircraft-mounted electronic warfare (EW) system capable of jamming state-of-the-art radar-based weapon systems.
In this story we take a look back at that ‘secret’ Russian weapon called a ‘khibiny’ which has been used upon US ships at least 3 times to date as well as a report similar technology can be used as a miniaturized EMP upon ‘localized sections of’ to entire cities. We also take a look at the recent ‘coincidence’ in NY, LA and SF on Friday where the lives of tens of millions were brought to a grinding halt due to their unpreparedness for a massive power outage. Just a coincidence all 3 huge US metro areas were struck at the same time or something much more sinister?
The April 26th, 2012 story from ‘Inside The Ring’ aka the Bill Gertz File reported the use of ‘electromagnetic pulse weapons’ in future warfare was growing, which led several years ago to the Pentagon taking steps to harden its equipment against the devastating effects of EMP weapons. The brief excerpt from his story also proves that going as far back as the early 2000’s, Russia had such a weapon that could knock out power to large sections of, if not an entire city. Certainly if Russia had this technology back then, ‘enemies of America within’ would have the same or better technology now. From Gertz’s 2012 story:
Military officials say the threat of electromagnetic pulse weapons in future warfare is growing.
The threat is prompting the Pentagon to take steps to harden its computers and electronics against the devastating effects of EMP weapons, which simulate the debilitating effect on electronics produced by a nuclear blast.
A military source tells Inside the Ring that Russia has already developed battlefield EMP weapons and used them in combat.
During the early 2000s, Russian military forces fired an EMP mortar round that deployed a small metal-coated parachute. As it floated to earth, the EMP energy burst was reflected downward by the underside of the parachute and also spread by the cords attached to the shell. The result was a cone of anti-electronic energy that disrupted all electronics within its area.
The mortar was used by Russian forces to attack hand-held cellular telephones used by Chechen rebels to communicate.
The tweet put out by Olivia Grace in San Francisco seen below claimed if Friday was the start of the apocalypse, it had a lovely day to welcome it in. The massive power outage in San Francisco Friday came the same time as a new story from ‘The Sun’ called: “BRACE YOURSELVES, Solar flare spewing from mega hole in the Sun could cause blackout mayhem.” Warning a gaping hole in the sun’s atmosphere had turned toward Earth and was belching ‘fast-moving’ radioactive particles, we see many different theories and claims being made as to why 3 of the US’s biggest cities suffered massive blackouts on the same day.
In this new story from Mac Slavo over at SHTFPlan he reports there were cyber attack fears after multiple cities were hit on Friday with simultaneous power grid failures, leading to shockwaves of delays in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. Reporting that businesses, traffic and day-to-day life had come to a standstill in San Francisco, the worst of the three cities hit, the story over at Inverse that the Drudge Report linked to on Friday reported “there is yet no evidence that they were connected by anything more than coincidence”.
As we have previously reported, the entire national power grid has been mapped by adversaries of the United States and it is believed that sleep trojans or malware may exist within the computer systems that maintain the grid.
In a 2016 report it was noted that our entire way of life has been left vulnerable to saboteurs who could cause cascading blackouts across the United States for days or weeks at a time:
It isn’t just EMPs and natural disaster that poses a threat to the grid, but there is also the potential for attacks on individual power substations in the vast network of decentralized and largely unguarded power grid chain. A U.S. government study established that there would be “major, extended blackouts if more than three key substations were destroyed.”
Whether by criminals, looters, terrorists, gangs or pranksters, it would take very little to bring down the present system, and there is currently very little the system can do to protect against this wide open threat. Whether the current outages are the result of a targeted infrastructure cyber attack or simply a coincidence, most Americans think the impossible can’t happen.
And while the day without power led to bad traffic, big losses and some frustration in San Francisco, the power was eventually returned with failing infrastructure across America also largely being blamed. But what happens to big cities like SF, LA or NY when the power doesn’t come back on? As Slavo’s story (which was republished over at Zero Hedge and linked to by the Drudge Report) reports, total chaos followed for those unprepared to live life without electrical power for large parts of the day.
The new story from Piper McGowan over at the Daily Sheeple asks if Friday’s outages were really secretly part of the Operation Gotham Shield nuclear EMP drill that will be taking place in New York and Washington DC this coming week. Their story interestingly confirms that when Russia holds massive civil defense drills, the government informs its citizens and includes them as we previously reported on ANP back in October of 2016 in this story.
Meanwhile, the huge majority of the American people are completely unprepared for emergencies lasting more than 3 days, if that, and most would be quickly wiped out if a long-lasting EMP weapon was unleashed upon us.
So dependent upon electricity to live their day to day lives are most Americans, several ANP readers asked in the comment section if we were witnessing a ‘BETA test‘ on Friday to bring the whole thing down. From McGowan’s story:
The fact that there are massive power outages today of all days in San Francisco, LA and specifically New York City — causes reportedly still unknown at this time — seems like anything but a coincidence with everything else going on right now including a massive NYC-area 10 kiloton nuclear blast and EMP drill called Operation Gotham Shield.
All of this is coinciding with the Operation Gotham Shield drill being held in the NYC area; depending on who you ask, it’s even going on right now, but again, we civilians (read: peons) are being mostly kept in the dark about the huge drill. One set of dates says the drill started on April 18th and will run through May 5th. Another set of dates say the actual nuke/EMP simulation part of the drill won’t happen until April 24th–26th.
So the chances that we’re suddenly having totally random “unexplained” massive power outages in major cities, starting specifically in the one where this massive nuclear war/EMP drill is currently going down and it is all simply a coincidence seem poor at best.
The November 8th of 2014 story from the Voltaire Network asked “What spooked the USS Donald Cook so much in the Black Sea?” after the ‘top of the line’ US Destroyer was left a sitting duck in the Black Sea. It was reported then a Russian weapon quickly turned the US Navy into something from the 18th century, void electronics.
On 10 April 2014, the USS Donald Cook entered the waters of the Black Sea and on 12 April a Russian Su-24 tactical bomber flew over the vessel triggering an incident that, according to several media reports, completely demoralized its crew, so much so that the Pentagon issued a protest.
The USS Donald Cook (DDG-75) is a 4th generation guided missile destroyer whose key weapons are Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, and capable of carrying nuclear explosives. This ship carries 56 Tomahawk missiles in standard mode, and 96 missiles in attack mode.
The US destroyer is equipped with the most recent Aegis Combat System. It is an integrated naval weapons systems which can link together the missile defense systems of all vessels embedded within the same network, so as to ensure the detection, tracking and destruction of hundreds of targets at the same time. In addition, the USS Donald Cook is equipped with 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of several stations. For protection, it carries more than fifty anti-aircraft missiles of various types.
Meanwhile, the Russian Su-24 that buzzed the USS Donald Cook carried neither bombs nor missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage, which, according to the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta, contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny.
As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up – or about to be – with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control.
The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook, which was left literally deaf and blind. As if carrying out a training exercise, the Russian aircraft – unarmed – repeated the same maneuver 12 times before flying away.
Were the blackouts in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco on Friday just a coincidence, another sign of the rapidly failing infrastructure in America as argued by David Knight from Infowars in the 1st video below, or something much more sinister?
While we’re not in the position to prove that Russia (or enemies of America within) are sending messages to President Donald Trump by somehow blacking out large portions of US cities, the fact that all of this is happening at the same time of increased tensions across the world and other large US drills tells us nothing is beyond the realm of possibility here. The fact that the US power grid has long been our nation’s achilles heal is of great concern. We also hear much more about the recent blackouts as well as Operation Gotham Shield in the 2nd and 3rd videos below.
And while many will believe that such an EMP weapon that could only be used locally is beyond the realm of possibility, Global Security reports that the US military has such weapons as well, weapons that had allegedly already been used against enemies long ago. The final video below takes a look at some of the military capabilities of the Russian ‘khibiny’.
High-power microwave (HPM) sources have been under investigation for several years as potential weapons for a variety of combat, sabotage, and terrorist applications. Due to classification restrictions, details of this work are relatively unknown outside the military community and its contractors. A key point to recognize is the insidious nature of HPM.
Due to the gigahertz-band frequencies (4 to 20 GHz) involved, HPM has the capability to penetrate not only radio front-ends, but also the most minute shielding penetrations throughout the equipment. At sufficiently high levels, as discussed, the potential exists for significant damage to devices and circuits. For these reasons, HPM should be of interest to the broad spectrum of EMC practitioners. Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and High Powered Microwave (HMP) Weapons offer a significant capability against electronic equipment susceptible to damage by transient power surges.
This weapon generates a very short, intense energy pulse producing a transient surge of thousands of volts that kills semiconductor devices. The conventional EMP and HMP weapons can disable non-shielded electronic devices including practically any modern electronic device within the effective range of the weapon. The effectiveness of an EMP device is determined by the power generated and the characteristic of the pulse.
The shorter pulse wave forms, such as microwaves, are far more effective against electronic equipment and more difficult to harden against. Current efforts focus on converting the energy from an explosive munitions to supply the electromagnetic pulse. This method produces significant levels of directionally focused electromagnetic energy.
Future advances may provide the compactness needed to weaponize the capability in a bomb or missile warhead. Currently, the radius of the weapon is not as great as nuclear EMP effects. Open literature sources indicate that effective radii of “hundreds of meters or more” are possible. EMP and HPM devices can disable a large variety of military or infrastructure equipment over a relatively broad area. This can be useful for dispersed targets.
